red velvet wedding cupcakes

Hey guys! How's your first week of December so far? I hope you're all doing great and excited for the upcoming holidays! As for me, I've been baking up a storm since the last week of November.

December has always been a busy month for me. What with all the weddings, birthdays and special occasions left and right, our pastries and cake orders from customers are especially high during this time. I've mentioned before on my previous post that my mom and I are running a small bakeshop and ever since I was twelve, I loved helping my mom out in the kitchen. Baking is included on my top 5 favorite things to do so just imagine my delight baking away massive amounts of cupcakes, fudge bars, cakes and cookies every year. The only downside really is that I have a sweet tooth and it doesn't actually help my waistline! Anyway, I'd like to show you some of the lovely creations we've made this week.

This is for Keith and Hannah's wedding giveaways. The bride specifically wanted the first letters of their names to be placed on the cupcakes. I made a total of 300 H and Ks which took me three days to complete, including the dainty sugar flowers. I started last Monday and boy did I realize that you got to have loads of patience and time in making them as they require meticulous handling.

This is what our dining table looked like yesterday - full of delicious and heavenly red velvet cupcakes! Of course, I had to make a few extras for our consumption.

Even Chowder loved them.

Here's the finished product. The cupcakes are housed in cute little customized boxes. Hannah picked them up earlier and she loved it! :)

That's all for today! I'm off to bake cupcakes again, this time for a baby boy's one-year old birthday!

Happy weekend! :)
