Blogging 101

Day 8 of The October Daily Share some blogging/photography tips

After a month of blogging, I can say that I've learned a lot of basics already and there are still so much to discover! I'm more than happy to learn something new everyday just by reading other blogs and actively posting new entries. And of course, the link ups serve as my motivation and inspiration that's why I'm so thankful to the hosts. I'll try my best to enumerate the lessons I've learned so far and hopefully I'm able to share something useful to you, my dear fellow bloggers.

Blogging Tip #1
BE YOURSELF
It is very important to show your readers the real you and
that's going to set you apart from others.
You're pretty amazing so there's no need to hide it from the rest of the world.
Express your true feelings and thoughts.

Blogging Tip #2
Read other blogs for inspiration
I get a lot of ideas on what to write from other blogs. That's right.
Like those question and answer, ideas and style.
You can tweak them to suit your personality.

Blogging Tip #3
Leave comments on other blogs.
If you like a certain entry or you can relate to it, tell them.
It makes the person's day brighter and I speak from experience.
And it's so much fun to interact with others.
Never leave a rude comment.

Blogging Tip #4
Pictures
Make them beautiful, bright and bold.
Photos make everything look lovely, bonus points
if you took them yourself so you can show the world its beauty and be proud of it.
Much better if you post pictures in every single entry to make it look more interesting.

Blogging Tip #5
Come up with a catchy title for your blog entries
It gets your readers excited and intrigued about its contents,
making your view count and visits higher.

Blogging Tip #6
Variety of Content
You gotta come up with interesting entries to keep
your readers coming back for more.
Give your readers something unique and inspiring.
Write what you want to write and when you want to write it.
Write from your heart and from your mind.

Blogging Tip #7
Writer's block?
Go out and experience life.
You are bound to come up with a good idea while you are out having fun.
Just remember to keep a pen and paper in hand.

Blogging Tip #8
Support one another.
Blogging is a community.
Support and encourage each others interests and motives and
don't be afraid to ask for help.
Give a shout out and some love to other bloggers.

Blogging Tip #9
Last but not the least, blogging takes time.
You have be patient when it comes to everything.
Your template, content, style, readership and everything about your blog will take time
to develop into something truly unique and satisfying.
And of course, ENJOY the process!

  2. Great tips Trish! I'm kind of a stay at home blogger (lol) so I just tend to 'go out' by visiting other blogs. I learn a lot but it would still be more exciting to go out and explore! :) Thank you so much for sharing!

  3. Good points; I also agree with #3. I think so many people forget this step. As a writer, it's nice to get feedback and hear from visitors to know if they liked the post.
